Narrative

From this 1863 map https://maps.nls.uk/view/102347904 it is clearly the building a short walk north of Tullythwaite Hall and to the left of Crow Wood End.

Little Tullythwaite pre-dated Tullythwaite House (built circa 1820) and we have record of George Kirkby referencing it in his 1743 marriage to Agnes.

It is also found today by postcode, though seems to be listed on Google and "The Joinery" and does not show up in current searches https://www.secret-bases.co.uk/postcode/LA8-8AZ

(see notes on Tullythwaite House for more information on the Tullythwaite area)

Narrative

Little Tullythwaite was likely lived in by George "of Little Tullythwaite" Kirkby and wife Agnes from at least 1743 and possibly his father before him. Their son William (b. 1745) was refered to as “William of Little Tullythwaite” in his Will details of 1866.

There is an odd conveyance notice in 1781 for Little Tullythwaite that does not include Kirkby's, see other notes.
